I haven’t posted in a few weeks because I’ve been getting my new retail space ready and it is finally done! I opened a small space inside Hunt and Gather, an antique and interiors shop in Raleigh, North Carolina (1910 Bernard Street). If you are in the Raleigh/Durham area, please stop in and check out the Wreath on the Door space. I have spent the last four weeks or so hunting for just the right items, painting them, sanding them, (painting them a second time in some cases) reimagining them, and using them to create a small interiors space where everything is cohesive and ready to be taken to a new home! I wanted to show you some photos from my new space.
When creating items to put in the space, I tried to use only colors that I would use in my home and as you know by now if you’ve been reading my blog, I’m really in love with grays, pale blues, creams, silver and whites. And of course I had to add some topiaries because I can’t imagine designing a space without some green.
I’m hoping that the space gets lots of visitors because it was a lot of fun to repurpose and reimagine the pieces that I put in the Hunt and Gather space and I’d love to add more items and grow the space. I’m now working on opening an Etsy shop that will sell some of the smaller items online. When the Etsy shop is running later next week, I’ll link it to my blog as well. If you are in Raleigh and you stop into the Hunt and Gather space, I’d love to hear what you think about my space!
